A NEW WORLD, A NEW WINE, A GREAT WINE

Chile has a long wine history for a New World wine region dating to the 16th century when the Spanish brought Vitis vinifera vines with them to the region. The evolution continued in the mid-19th century when French wine varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère and Cabernet Franc were introduced to the region. Then, at the early 1980s, a renaissance began with the introduction of stainless steel fermentation tanks and the use of oak barrels for aging. Nowadays Chile is another recognized wine country, with over 70 different recognized wineries making incredible wines.

Chile is a region to discover. So far Chile has remained free of phylloxera louse which means that the country’s grapevines do not need to be grafted.

We are discovered a great winery, Terranoble, and as soon as we tried their wines they became a target to us to distribute in the Australian market.
