"My hosts say that #godello is the next fashionable Spanish white varietal after #alvarinho I kinda get it although I thought the that #vedejo a Sauvignon Blanc look alike was a contender. The subtle apricot fruit flavours and fresh acidity make it a great seafood wine. #galicia #seafood #wine #winetasting #spain #delicious."

A lovely bright green colour. Mineral and herbal aromas on the nose. A pretty palate with attractive primary fruit flavours. The savouriness of the wine complemented the food well.

Quite neutral on the nose but with some light vegetal notes. The palate has a creamy lemon generosity with a slight tropical edge. An interesting and enjoyable drink. Delicious with the scallop dish.

A very smart wine with light spices and a mix of tree and citrus fruit flavours. Plenty of fresh acidity and a dry finish. It likes food but the food needs to be as gentle as the wine for those that would consider that.

There are hints of Muscat and anise here and a little bit of the Verdelho character which is a green quince character for me. The wine is very flavoursome. Deep clean green bean characters with mint julep overtones. The palate is nicely weighted with some great fruit length. With food there’s a nuttiness that becomes apparent that worked really well. The wine is all good.

Pale straw in colour. Lemon lime on the nose with some passionfruit tropical characters. A viscous palate with just enough acidity matching the richness of the scallop in cleansing and complementing the flavours.
